Gazprom raises European pumping volumes through Ukraine
MOSCOW, Aug 10 (PRIME) – Russian gas giant Gazprom has raised European pumping through Ukrainian pipelines as soon as Kiev allowed it to do so, the company said in a statement late Tuesday.
“Gazprom raised gas supplies promptly after receiving confirmation from the Ukrainian side on its readiness to take this gas for further transit. The amount of the gas sent to the entrance to the Ukrainian gas transport system corresponds to Gazprom’s order for today,” the company said.
On Tuesday, Ukraine’s national pipeline system operator Ukrtransgaz said that it can raise transit by 20% to 275 million cubic meters a day if Gazprom ensures enough pressure in the pipeline.
